True Love.....

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am,
when an elderly gentleman, in his 80's, arrived to have stitches
removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry
as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not
busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
On exam it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors,
got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redressed his wound.

While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation.
I asked him if he had an important appointment that morning,
as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no,
that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.
I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there
for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer Disease.

As we talked, and I finished dressing his wound,
I asked if she would be worried if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was,
that she had not recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised, and asked him. "And you still go every morning,
even though she doesn't know who you are?"
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me,
but I still know who she is."
I had to hold back tears as he left.

I had goose pimples on my arm, and thought,
"That is the kind of love I want in my life."
True love is neither physical, nor romantic.
True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.
"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the best of everything that comes along their way."
Happiness doesn't depend on what u have,
but what u satisfy and contented with.
Try looking at the simple side of life, don't make life around you
so complicated. It's how you make others happy rather than
how you want others to make you happy.

i've been workin in hsc for almost a year..
what could be learn had been learned..
sent out several resume last friday..
after the bonus, i shld be working in a new environment..
and with better pay of course..

fen juz gotten himself a position as unix programmer..
montly pay of 1.8k.. he also studying part time degree in PSB..
he came to borrow my unix book this evening with his gf..
feel glad for him.. have a steady gf, and a good job..

wx call for a kelong trip on 9 & 10 of april..
but 3rd aunt already booked loyang bungalow on the same date!
alrite, time to koon..

went to the IT Show 2005 yesterday..
damn crowded with pples till u can hardly walk.. even till night fall..
so lesson learned: never go to any last day exhibitions..
i bought the Olympus digi cam C-770 which i've been craving for..
it has a 10 x optical zoom, 4.0 mega pixels resolution and
able to record movies in mpeg4 format..
the price is quite reasonable at $699 and come along with
freebies like 2 256mb xD-Picture card, a mini tripod, an extra battery,
free workshop etc.. just nice for me to play with it on the trip to msia.. :)

im going to study soon..
i still remember i used to think i wont waste money to go for
higher study.. dip or degree holder didn't earn alot different..
that was during the economy downturn..
where degree holder can't find a job at all..

after looking at a few courses by various institute,
im going for the BSc (Hons) in Information Technology,
provided by APMI, in partner with National University of Ireland, Dublin..
its quite good considering in its recognition and fees..
Monash is too expensive and Newcastle isn't reali what im looking for..

and oh, i going to drive in msia and explore the places of interest again
on my bday.. thinking abt it make me feel reali excited!
i'd make a rough plan of the places of interest to visit
and hope i could find them all this time..

Joke of the month

Bad Seeing-Eye Dog...
A blind man is walking down the street with his seeing-eye dog one day.
They come to a busy intersection, and the dog,
ignoring the high volume of traffic zooming by on the street,
leads the blind man right out into the thick of traffic.
This is followedby the screech of tires and horns blaring as
panicked drivers trydesperately not to run the pair down.
The blind man and the dog finally reach the safety of the sidewalk
on the other side of the street, and the blind man pulls a cookie
out of his coat pocket which he offers to the dog. A passerby,
having observed the near fatal incident, can't control his amazement
and says to the blind man, "Why on earth are you rewarding your dog
with a cookie? He nearly got you killed!"
The blind man turns partially in his direction and replies,
"To find out where his head is, so I can kick his ass."
