today is phil chang (zhang yu) birthday..
he's the only singer where i have all his albums..
heard his "yong xin liang ku" album and have been smittened
by his talents and the sad love songs ever since..

one thing unique about him is that he write ALL the tune
for his songs.. while his wife 'shi yi lang' write most of the lyrics..
he have also written many songs for other singers such as
"peng lin - qiu niao", "a-mei - cheng zhao" etc..

alot of his songs which is not commercialise are very nice..
you never know till you buy his album..
well, he's really a very good singer, composer cum producer..

i was having my field exercise on tuesday
and the weather was a FREAKING 35 degree celsius!
a few soldiers collapsed due to the hot weather..
i was told by the 'lao jiao' that this is the most 'xiong'
field camp they ever had due to the new 'xiao on' officers..
reservist life have been more 'xiong' then during my active..

baoli msg me that she had an abortion few days ago..
i was quite shock as to me, she's the innocent type of girl..
i don't even know she has a bf..
her bf don't want the baby.. sigh....
again, girls always complaint that guys cheated them..
but why do they give in after juz knowing the guys
for such a short period? when this thing happen,
both have to be responsible..

in the end, the doc told her that she has an
'unhealthy pregnancy' and was recommended to abort..
this time she didn't even have a choice..
and she's quite disappointed with her bf for not
wanting the baby at first..

Joke of the month

A woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the
woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found
a frog in a trap. The frog said to her,
"If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes."

The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, "Thank you, but
I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes.
Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten."
The woman said, "That's okay", and for her first wish,
she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
The frog warned her, "You do realize that this wish will also
make your husband the most handsome man in the world,
an Adonis whom women will flock to."

The woman replied, "That's okay, because I will be the most
beautiful woman and he will have eyes only for me."
So, KAZAM! she's the most beautiful woman in the world.

For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the
world. The frog said, "That will make your husband the richest
man in the world and he will be ten times richer than you."
The woman said, "That's okay, because what's mine is his and
what's his is mine." So, KAZAM! she's the richest woman in the
world.

The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered,
"I'd like a mild heart attack."

Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don't mess with them.

On one occasion, the Buddha was invited by
the Brahmin Bharadvaja for alms to his house.
As invited, the Buddha visited the house of the Brahmin.
Instead of entertaining Him, the Brahmin poured forth
a torrent of abuse with the filthiest of words.
The Buddha politely inquired:

"Do visitors come to your house, good Brahmin?"
"Yes," he replied.
"What do yu do when they come?"
"Oh, we prepare a sumptuous feast."
"What do you if they refuse to receive the meal?"
"Why, we gladly partake of them ourselves."

"Well, good Brahmin, you have invited me for alms
and entertained me with abuse which I decline to accept.
So now it belongs to you."

The Buddha did not retaliate but politely gave back
what the Brahmin had given Him.
Retaliate not, the Buddha advised.
"Hatred does not cease through hatred but through love alone
they cease."

The Butterfly

A man found a cocoon for a butterfly.
One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly
for several hours as it struggled to force its body through the little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress.
It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no farther.

Then the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and snipped the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. Something was strange.
The butterfly had a swollen body and shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because
he expected at any moment, the wings would enlarge and
expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life
crawling around with a swollen body and deformed wings.
It was never able to fly. What the man in his kindness
and haste did not understand, was that the restricting cocoon
and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the
small opening of the cocoon are God's way of forcing fluid from the
body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready
for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If God allowed us to go through all our life without any obstacles,
that would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what
we could have been. Not only that, we could never fly.

today is the start of my ICT..
quite relax i shall say.. as most of the key personnel are nsmen..
long time since i last touch the huge 5 ton MAN truck..

APMI told me that my class might not start due to insufficient
students.. wtf.. i even ask during the course seminar what would APMI
do if there's a lack of student enrolling.. and the speaker said,
"it NEVER happen before.... for the right of the students, the class
would still carry on.." but now they're saying otherwise..
anyway, i think i will apply for SIM then.. though its more expensive
and does not cover business law..

i was waiting for the MRT one day and as usual when the train arrived,
alighting passengers were struggling to get off as boarding ones
steamrolled in.. a caucasian man asked his lady companion,
"why do they not allow the people to get off first?"
and she answered, "its because they have not been taught manners."

what she said struck me not beacuse i believed it was an unfair
statement but rather i thought she struck the nail right through
some thick bone matter and on the way speared right
through a nerve.. i see this every day of my life and it takes someone
from the outside to make me stop and think that it is
not ok that we behave this way..

the minister mentor once said, "part of human behaviour is learned,
part is instinctive." courtesy is learned, not instinctive."
i agree with him completely because truly we have so much more
to learn. i tink it is very high time we saw a renaissance
of the courtesy campaign and this time hope that it takes a more
aggressive line..

PORN: Nasty or Nice?

"I found my boyfriend's collection of porn in his computer the other day.."
Many a times, my girl friends would come crying to me of
this revelation. She feels angry and most of all, cheated. She would then
ask alot of questions trying to make sense of his behaviour, at the same
time say such behaviour is sick, depraved and perverted.

Different people have different tolerance levels when it comes
to pornography. Obviously, that girl friend of mine has zero tolerance
to her boyfriend's porn collection. But from where I stand,
I would be extremely disturbed if my boyfriend were to tell me
he does not masturbate or have prossession of pornography.
I would start to wonder if he is normal in that department.
Personally, I would rather have my boyfriend watching porn,
touch himself than go out and have someone touch him.

My brother would always tease my mother whenever
she starts reading her historical romance novels.
He says that she is reading porn because in such novels,
there are very descriptive bedroom scenes. Why are books
like these categorised as 'novels' and 'literature' whereas
magazines like playboy/playgirl are categorised as 'pornography'?
Both of them do contain the topic of sex, the only difference
between that one is literal, the other pictorial.

You may argue that pornography degrades women,
making them look nothing more but a mere commodity.
If it is truly about nudity, why are the paintings done during
the Renaissance era considered as a part of high culture?

Everyone has sexual needs. It is a fact and we should not deny
or feel ashamed about. Since we Singaporeans are still
a rather shy and conservative bunch, I doubt anyone of us would
have the courage to ask our parents questions on how to satisfy
our partners or how to achieve the big O.
Naturally, pornography is the way to go. It offers sexual infomation
which cannot be described in reams of 'academic' discussions.
I would not want to be in bed with someone who do not know what he
supposed to do.

Masturbation with the aid of pornography is a safe and private thing
to do. Moreover, the possibility of contracting STDs or having
random woman telling me that she is pregnant with my boyfriend's
child is never going to happen. After all, people do have free will
and both male and female alike should be given the right
to their fantasy without any judgement.

I remember reading in magazines advising couples who want to
add a little spice into their sex or marriage life to get a
naughty video or a magazine together. Couples ought to read/watch
it together, hint to each other to try a certain position out.
Even if they do not wish to follow the video or magazine,
the act of reading/watching helps to set the mood.
It allow couples to understand their partner's sexual preferences
and allow them to get closer on a more intimate level.

Come on ladies, let's admit it. We love the anticipation of sex
as much as we love our shoes.

well, spent the entire weekend with my family in Aloha Loyang chalet..
the chalet is big enough to accommodate 5 families..
its the first time we have such a great family reunion..
and i find it really unforgettable..

we play mahjong and 3rd uncle won $40+
and my small cousin know how to play daidee among themselves..
shock right.. uncle teach them while they're on the plane..
catch crabs and mudskippers by the beach.. and of cos bbq
almost non stop.. haha..

finally, s'pore talk about opening her own race track..
kallang rally is only carpark racing.. and SMSA doesn't have
much events thru'out the year..
thus, the nearest we can go to is pasi gudang..
life is soooooo boring after the end of kenji's mazda 323T.. haha.. =p
have not been keeping in touch with sdc, tcc and k class frens..
since the opening of west coast mac, they'd all shifted there from kallang..

cut my hair short recently.. and all my colleagues are like so stunned..
one of them can't even recognise me.. haha..
actually thought of going for interviews for new job..
but later i'd decided to leave only after getting my bonus..

zq and swei had went back to aust for almost 2 months..
and so far, zq only msn me like thrice? and we only exchange 2-3 lines..
before he went back, he's attached again..
another distance relationship.. i'd warn him during our batam trip
about history repeating itself.. and he say something like this time
different and it wont happen.. well..

Beyond - Huang Jia Ju not dead!!?

since his death in 1993 while performing in japan,
lots of people including me are heart-broken..

it was said that one of his song he'd written offended Hong Kong media,
and the media engaged underground society to plan for his death..
the stage Beyond performed in was famous for tragedy..
quite a number of artists had face ill fate too..

when Huang Jia Ju was recovering after 6 days in the hospital,
one of the underground member who was also his fan,
sacrified his life for him.. their body were exchanged
and Huang Jia Ju was secretly sent to a rural village
where he changed his name to Ma Ju..

he lost his memory and later started a pub singing career in japan..
he is heard singing Beyond - Hai Kuo Tian Kong japanese verison,
and people who heard him say it just like like Huang Jia Ju singing..

how true is it? though i really hope that he's still alive,
but its sad to know that a life is taken anyway..
he may be alive.. but he would never be Huang Jia Ju again.. sigh..
