Tuesday, 29 November 2005 Light : Brightening Up Turning on the light, I did not notice it was dimmer than usual. Suddenly, it became brighter, illuminating everything more clearly - the lamp was just “warming up”. I had forgotten that the light could ever be this bright. Likewise must I not really know how much brighter the light of my wisdom can be - till it does becomes so. All I can do is become wiser to find out, dispelling the darkness of ignorance. Dust : Why There? Because the dust in my phone can be cleared any time, I leave it there. Because I leave it there, the dust is there all the time. Reluctance : Get It Over Whatever you must do, however unpleasant it is, do it perfectly willingly, or you will be creating your own friction with reluctance. No point at all - why not swiftly get it over with? But don't break the precepts! Mountain : Actually Nameless It occured to me that it is not that I do not know the name of the mountain, but that I know it has no name, even if it was named. Name : Animals Not Meat In conversation, I call "meat" "animals" not because of bad English but to remind others that steak was peace-loving cow, that pork was harmless pig, that fillet was free swimming fish... Why : Ask Yourself Once in a while, it is good to ask yourself this "Why am I doing what I am doing now?" If you don't get the question, it is good to ask yourself this "Why do I not understand the question?" Not : Yellow Moon? A yellow moon... is neither yellow nor moon. But it does not denies either too. What is it really? Grudge : Let It Go Bearing a grudge, she felt ill at ease, while she unwittingly made others feel uneasy too. She did not realise that she was punishing herself and others by not letting go of the matter. Most importantly, she did not realise there was no need to punish anyone, not even herself - especially it did no good at all to anyone. When she did eventually realised this, she suddenly “lightened” up, shocked by dissipating of the invisible self-imposed burden of hate. Truth : Its Sides Some say there are at least three sides to every story - your side, the other side, and the truth. If you want the whole truth, you need to be wholehearted and unbiased in seeking it. You need to hear every side of the story you can find - to be fair to every side, to be fair to yourself, to be fair to the truth. Moon : Hold or Behold? People are like monkeys frantically grasping for the moon in the water. -Ryokan Teachers can only be moonpointers - because the moon can only be pointed to, not held and given. -stonepeace extracts from Moon Pointer 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 3:10 pm <-------------------------------------------------------> Sunday, 27 November 点此收听《伤心不需要眼泪》 1 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 1:02 am <-------------------------------------------------------> Tuesday, 22 November 2005 Joke of the month Explain Playing Golf Whenever I come home from playing golf, my son always asks me excitedly, "Did you win, Dad?" I have explained to him time and time again that you're really just playing against yourself. We were on vacation and I had gone out to play a round. When I returned, the kids were swimming in the hotel pool, which was full of kids and surrounded by dozens of parents. From across the pool, at the top of his lungs, my son yelled, "Hey Dad! Did you have fun playing with yourself?" 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 12:59 pm <-------------------------------------------------------> Saturday, 12 November 2005

I wouldn't expect you to understand that, or even believe it, but trust me; there are just some loves that don't go away.
