![]() late evening shot from marina sq.. 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 11:38 pm <-------------------------------------------------------> Sunday, 26 March 2006 dad bought a sony mp4 player which apparently can take pics and videos, video in/out enabled, record voices, play mp3, wma and some video files.. i'm actually quite surprise that he will buy such a "high tech gadget".. hehe.. and guess what.. its only cost $200 and juz abit bigger then my V3! it has an internal memory of 256MB and also a slot for a MMC storage card.. i'd transferred some videos from my pc, and the image is quite clear too.. its another sunday.. weekend always seem to fly so fast.. or rather, time really fly.. i have not gone for a holiday for so long.. i think i need a break.. had been listening to 叶良俊 songs lately.. such a pity he only sing for 6 years and not alot of people really appreciate his talent.. graduate with degree of law from Cambridge University, he gave up his lawyer career and joined the music industry instead.. Currently, he's in S'pore Poly teaching music.. he'd written numerous famous hits for himself and others.. however, whenever a song is nice, the singer is the only person people paid attention to.. the composer and lyricist are often over-looked.. 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 10:26 am <-------------------------------------------------------> Tuesday, 21 March 2006 so.. a relationship also depend on whether one can get along with the other half family members.. and if it matter so much till one has to consider whether to stay together, does it reflect something about the relationship? afterall, its not his/her family members you're going to spend your life with.. unless all of you gona stay together under one roof.. maybe she's really too pampered for me.. maybe our culture, background and way of life really differ.. maybe we're really not compatible afterall.. 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 10:53 pm <-------------------------------------------------------> Thursday, 16 March 2006 been busy for the past few weeks.. the trip to china had been postphoned to jun.. had a warm up bowling session with ihpc colleagues.. there's gona be a competition somewhere mid-year.. bought a car alarm and a Rodek sub woofer.. and the bearing in my engine break down.. luckily, dad managed to find a water-cooled gtti engine at only $450.. coe is going up.. and i believe it will keep rising in the near future.. been playing the battle of middle earth lately.. 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 8:59 pm <-------------------------------------------------------> Friday, 3 March 2006
![]() Realisation: The Intentional Thief Who 'Became' An Accidental Teacher Once, during a retreat conducted by Zen Master Bankei, where many students from all over gathered to learn, one of them was caught stealing red-handed. The matter was promptly reported to Bankei, followed by the request to expel the thief. However, Bankei ignored the suggestion. A while later, the same student was again caught stealing. To the shock of the others, Bankei continued to disregard the crime. This led the students to petition for his dismissal, without which they would leave the retreat together. After reading the petition, Bankei calmly addressed his students. 'You are wise brothers. You know what is right and what is not right. You may go somewhere else to study if you wish, but this poor brother does not even know right from wrong. Who will teach him if I do not? I am going to keep him here even if all the rest of you leave.' Upon hearing that, the thief wept in total remorse. In this way, Bankei taught all who were present an invaluable lesson. Was Bankei right or wrong when he first dismissed the theft? Perhaps he had faith in the conscience of the thief, which took a little longer to awaken. The others were clearly too impatient. What were they students of? The learning of mere wisdom, or the coupling of it with compassionate skilful means? Realising their mistake, ought they not weep tears of repentance too? It is up to us Buddhists to help correct fellow Buddhists, be they lay or monastic. If we do not help one another pull up our spiritual socks, who will? Non-Buddhists? Remember - we need to help Non-Buddhists in ways we can too! – Shen Shi'an 0 comments ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 4:17 pm <-------------------------------------------------------> |

"There are some people who meet that somebody that they can never stop loving, no matter how hard they try. I wouldn't expect you to understand that, or even believe it, but trust me; there are just some loves that don't go away. And maybe that makes them crazy, but we should all be lucky enough to end up with someone who has a little bit of that craziness. Someone who never lets go. Someone who cherishes you forever." - Ally McBeal unique moonlighters |
