3 universal truths.. turns into soil. A seed sprouts and becomes a new plant. Old solar systems disintegrate and turn into cosmic rays. We are born of our parents, our children are born of us. We are the same as plants, trees, as other people, as the rain that falls. We consist of that which is around us, we are the same as everything. If we destroy something around us, we destroy ourselves. If we cheat another we cheat ourselves. 2. Everything changes. Everything is continuously changing. Life is like a river flowing on and on, ever changing. Sometimes it flows slowly and sometimes swiftly. Sometimes it is smooth and gentle and sometimes rough. As soon as we think we are safe, something unexpected happens. Once dinosaurs, mammoths and saber tooth tigers roamed this earth. They all died out yet this was not the end of life. Now we can communicate with cell phones, and mini computers. What will be the future? Everything changes. 3. The law of cause and effect. There is continuous changes due to the law of cause and effect. This is the same law of cause and effect found in modern science textbooks. The law of cause and effect is known as karma. Nothing ever happens without a cause. But trying to determine all the many interdependent causes from beginningless time, behind each action will bring vexation.

 OG was feature in the news again.. thanks to the "unskilled" and "irresonsible" drivers that lead to accidents.. the last accident i saw is a car (forgotten the model) ram into a wrx.. the car behind is just a normal saloon car and with its lousy oem rear drum brake, how can it stoppped in time when the wrx jammed its brembo.. at times, you can even see P-plate driver.. its all started in early 2000.. if not late 90s.. by a group of young racers.. the track was burnt and dominated every weekend by a notorious car club "TCC".. not long after, other clubs like VS, TE(famous for accidents), Monster etc joined in the fun.. the prime of OG slowly died off after NLB was demolished.. in the recent years, most of the car clubs had cool off the track mainly due to accidents.. roadworks and maybe due to age haha.. its had been almost 10 yrs.. most of us are in the 30s and 40s now with heavier respinsiblity.. we can't race like no tomorrow again.. the only club around which i know of is SMC.. the rest are some groups of friends or individual raceboy.. at times, kenji and johnson do jio me down OG.. well, i'll still do a few rounds with them.. thought my passion for OG is no longer there.. what i prefer is one to one.. at 20 or 40 tiangs.. this way you don't endanger other drivers too.. 0 comments

OSLO (AFP) - A Norwegian man faces a heavy fine and a driving ban after police caught him having sex with his girlfriend while speeding on the motorway, police said Monday. The unnamed couple, a 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were caught in the act late on Easter Sunday by traffic police on the E18 highway, some 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Oslo. Officers who clocked the couple's silver Mazda 323 racing at 133 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone realised they were doing more than just breaking the speed limit, police told AFP. "It was veering from one side to the other because the woman was sitting on the man's lap while he was driving and doing the act, shall we say," said Tor Stein Hagen, a superintendent with Soendre Buskerund district police. "He couldn't see much because her back was in the way," he added. "Why they did it on a highway with such a high risk we don't know." After following the couple for nearly a kilometre, officers pulled the car over at a service station. "We have taken away his driving licence because of the danger that he caused," Hagen said. Prosecutors will decide within the next week what his punishment will be, with police having filmed the incident to use as evidence against the driver. If any one person, who once did you a single act of kindness did not do so, would you turn out to be the way you are today - in the positive sense? Chances are, it would be hard to tell, or that it is certain that you would not fare off this well. It's also often true the other way round... If any one person who once did you a single act of unkindness did not do so, would you turn out to be the way you are today - in the positive sense? Unlikely. This brings us to a powerful truth - that we can be transformed for the better by both the kindness and unkindness of others - even if they are tiny acts of 'random' (un)kindness. Even unkind acts have the power to make us stronger, more experienced and spiritually mature. Though unkind acts can make us bitter instead of better, the focus was at the end of the question, which specifically asked if you benefitted 'in the positive sense'. It is kinder to yourself to harvest all the positive lessons you can from so-called 'negative' experiences, as it is largely inevitable that you will face unkindness in life. From the greedy, realise the torture of craving, and cultivate generosity. From the hateful, realise the torment of rage, and cultivate loving- kindness. From the deluded, realise the pain of confusion, and cultivate wisdom. It would be utterly foolish to be 'infected' by others' defilements instead - becoming more greedy than the greedy, more hateful towards the hateful, more deluded with the deluded. That even the unkind can teach us invaluable lessons brings us to another great truth - that there is almost always something you can recall about someone that deserves your gratitude. The truth is, if we look at anyone's character, there are always at least two aspects - the better side and the worse side. Beyond letting the better side better you as an example to emulate, it is equally sensible to let the worse side better you by being a 'model' of how you should not be. And because you truly benefit from this person, the direct repayment of their 'kindness' is to help them better themselves. faith and belief on buddhism is different.. it's not based on a God but on the truth.. simply said is to have faith in the truth.. you might say the truth is the truth, why do we still need faith to believe the truth? having said that, not many people can even see the truth.. we're constantly living in delusion.. so much so that we apprehend the false as the truth.. a very simple example: we think that money = happiness.. buddhist need to have faith in the buddha, the teacher.. you need to have faith in your teacher before you learn something right? or maybe you don't.. haha.. but i bet your teacher would not ask you to ponder about his teaching, much less doubt his teaching before believing in him.. well, buddha ask you to.. "Doubt everything. Find your own light." buddhism bases its beliefs on realising the ultimate truth yourself, not blindly believe on what you're told. As a "truth" religion, it must be able to hold to all scientific facts.. the truth is always the truth, no matter you believe it or not.. thus buddhism is able to accord to all science theories, in the past, today and always will in the future.. human do err and all dharma books are afterall written by human.. thus: "A good Buddhist should embrace clear-cut scientific evidence; if a religious dictum is proven wrong, it must be amended." - Dalai Lama lastly, more and more scientists are exploring / examine on buddhism.. however, what the scientist can prove or found is very limited.. cos scientists they themselves are not enlightened.. their knowledge is very limited no matter how much research they do.. below is a view on buddhism by one of the world most notable scientist: "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstein 3 comments

 The girl in the picture is Katie Kirkpatrick, she is 21 . Next to her, her fiancé, Nick, 23. The picture was taken shortly before their wedding ceremony, held on January 11, 2005 in the US. Katie has terminal cancer and spend hours a day receiving medication. In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of quimo to end.  In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss.  An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that ketie used throughout the ceremony and reception as well. The other couple in the picture are Nick's parents. Excited to see her son marrying his high school sweetheart.  Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube , listening a song from her husband and friends.  At the reception, katie had to take a few rests.The pain do not let her to be standing up for long periods.  Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a women so ill and weak getting married and with a smile on her face makes us think.. Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it last. We should stop making our lives complicated. Life is short Break the rules forgive quickly kiss passionately, love truly laugh constantly And never stop smiling no matter how strange life is Life is not always the party we expected to be but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful. p/s: btw, this is not an april fool joke.. 0 comments
