Monday, 30 August 2010 Pema Chödrön, whose teachings and writings on meditation have helped make Buddhism accessible to a broad Western audience, speaks to Bill Moyers about her view of the Buddha. He was not a god, not someone to pray to. He was a man who had pains like all of us, but learned how to avoid suffering. In that sense, he can be a role model for us as we go about our lives. ![]() ![]() dreamed of racing on 9:05 am <-------------------------------------------------------> |

"There are some people who meet that somebody that they can never stop loving, no matter how hard they try. I wouldn't expect you to understand that, or even believe it, but trust me; there are just some loves that don't go away. And maybe that makes them crazy, but we should all be lucky enough to end up with someone who has a little bit of that craziness. Someone who never lets go. Someone who cherishes you forever." - Ally McBeal unique moonlighters |

Pema Chodran is always so clear in bringing her message to us, and this is no exception. Of course I'm going to like her mention of the shining mirror, and just clearing away the dust -- we all have just a little dust to clear away (but it's hard work!). As an aside, I note that when I first arrived at your page some music was playing, as if from an ad, and it kept playing while Pema was speaking. I couldn't find a way to stop it. :(
Hi Star, thanks for visiting. Well, sorry for the background music playing on my site, you can actually stop it from the control below at the end of the page on the right side. Or you can enjoy the music first and then click on the youtube as it will only play one time. :)
